Harum is a marketplace for K-pop and Korean collectibles serving over 10,000 collectors, with a custom translation module and an AI-powered finder built on top of the catalog.

What it does

The platform handles the full marketplace flow: seller listings, multi-currency pricing, buyer search and discovery, checkout, and the collector profile experience. The AI finder helps buyers locate specific items — limited editions, signed releases, hard-to-find variants — across listings that span multiple languages and inconsistent metadata.

The translation layer

Korean collectibles come with Korean-language metadata, Romanized variants, English translations, and community-specific shorthand. The custom translation module normalizes all of this into a searchable index so a Romanian collector can find an item described in Korean by an Indonesian seller. Translation runs continuously as new listings arrive.

Stack notes

The catalog is built for fast faceted search across a long tail of attributes. The AI finder uses Claude for query understanding — it turns natural-language requests like "the Mark Lee photocard from the Sticker album" into structured queries against the catalog. The platform is mobile-first because most collector activity happens on phones.
