Why 200ms matters

A dispatcher looking at the board makes decisions in seconds, not minutes. If the system is sluggish, the dispatcher works around it — opens a spreadsheet, calls a driver, makes the decision blind. Sub-200ms is not a vanity metric; it is the threshold below which the platform stays in the dispatcher's flow instead of pushing them out of it.

How it is built

The data model and the indexes are designed for the queries dispatch actually issues — list of active loads filtered by criteria, fleet status snapshot, exception lists, driver assignments. Those queries are first-class citizens of the schema, not afterthoughts. The infrastructure is sized for the burst patterns dispatch creates rather than the average load.

What it replaces
